Position Summary:

We are currently recruiting technicians for third shift . Our technicians are responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of all infrastructure and network operations. Provides customer service, troubleshooting, as well as incident escalation for all Clients contacting the USTCNOC.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for supporting 24x7x365 Data Center and Network Operations and providing building service support for 24/7 mission-critical operations.
Serve as a direct point of contact for most customers, service providers and internal staff interaction.
Accompany and escort vendors/customer visitors in data center space.
Receive and resolve customer requests via phone, e-mail and internal ticket system, escalating alerts to appropriate personnel. Minimize time to close tickets while maintaining a high level of quality in work performed to resolve tasks.
Assist the customer in the physical layout and installation of their equipment in secure cabinets. Ensure customer installations are in accordance with standard procedures and service level agreements. Provide Tier 1 and 2 support to customers.
Install data center infrastructure materials including: racks and cabinets with grounding, cable tray and ladder, cable management and any other materials necessary for data center operation.
Install structured wiring including network drops, coax cable drops and specialty cable within appropriate connectors in support of facilities operations. Install network equipment and patch infrastructure in tele-data closets and patch in network drops using copper and fiber patch cords.
Other duties as assigned or required due to changing organizational needs.
Required Skills:

Solid Background using Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems for servers and workstations, including Windows Server 200.8
SQL Server administration and/or management.
Experience with IIS, Active Directory, Windows networking administration, and knowledge of web technologies.
Ability to learn and retain information in a fast pace environment and to adapt to new technologies through self-directed training.
Impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
Ability to interact with clients in a professional, articulate manner.
Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Friendly and professional demeanor.
Required Education and Experience:

Data Center Experience preferred.
Help Desk or Technical Support Experience preferred.
Experience with Structured Cabling and Network Wiring.
